Hi list, I`m not a regular poster, but this might be of interest to some:
TRESOR BERLIN: THE VAULT & THE ELECTRONIC FRONTIER Dir. Michael Andrawis, UK, 2005, 62 mins Screens at the ICA on Thursday 15 December as part of Soultek Session club night. TRESOR will also return to the ICA for a run in the new year. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Tresor night club became a secret Berlin rendez-vous, housed in an old vault room of a 1920's department store which had not been opened for 46 years, and was at the heart of a social and musical revolution of East and West. Following arts promoter and record man Dimitri Hegemann through the streets of Berlin and into the sub-cultural underground, this documentary charts a social change as pivotal as 60's London. The film culturally connects Berlin with musicians from Germany, the UK and Detroit, and includes exclusive interviews with Detroit techno pioneers DJ Juan Atkins and Jeff Mills, the UK's Christian Vogel and Tony Surgeon, plus rare footage of Timothy Leary. Got this via: http://www.close-upfilm.com/features/regionalfilm/london-news-ica.htm Anyone knows if this will be released on DVD? Greetings, Peter
