Just for the record, it's a Technasia DJ set, which I believe = Charles
Siegling (not that that's a bad thing).

Unfortunately this is the same night as To the Bone's first anniversary,
which features Hard Wax/Berghain's Marcel Dettman (in his UK bedut, and who
I'm personally quite excited to see) and (a rare appearance from former list
member) Jonny McIntosh (who is always more than a treat). It should be the
nuts. It's a bit of a shame though because Split (and Retrovert before
merging with Flux to become Split) have been doing excellent parties for the
last 2+ years, and many of us Detroit-loving [313] types haven't made it to
their shows in the last year or so when they were doing them at Turnmills
(which is generally to be avoided). Unfortunately I also missed the last one
at SE1 which had Alex Bond and Kirk Detroitio because I was away.

Now this is a serious conflict, on top of the already-existing conflict with
another one our friend's parties at Medicine bar, where he's had some
serious guests in recent months (although that is also not one the more
favoured venues in terms of staff and mgmt, etc). That said, I have no doubt
about where I'll be, it's just a shame that as things have slowed down some
in the last year or so that we have one weekend of the month when there is
always a conflict, and it conflicts with the one regular night that is most
convenient for us South Londoners and most appealing for many of us to
support (being oft-neglected for spots north of the river).

Anyway... To pre-empt Dave 'I do nothing but SPAM on [313] although I have
loads to offer' Stenton's post to the list, here's the full scoop:

It doesn't feel like it, but we've already been going a year. Those of you
who haven't made it down yet - you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Run go tell a friend...

TO THE BONE
George IV
144 Brixton Hill
Sat 4th Feb
10-6am
£5

TO THE BONE’s first anniversary is brought to you by two exhaustive record
collections - those of Marcel Dettman and Jonny McIntosh. As well as being a
buyer for one of Europe’s premier record bunkers, Hardwax records, Marcel’s
also resident at one of the filthiest, most disorientating and best clubs in
the world (that Easyjet flies to), Berghain in Berlin - all darkness,
dungeons, d*ldos and cool people. Marcel plays all sorts of housey,
technoey, ravey gear, but the unifying theme behind his musical aesthetic
is, as he puts it, “bears LOVE fisting to it”.

Our other guest is record and degree collector extraordinaire, Jonny “The
Which Doctor” McIntosh BA Bsc MA MPhil PHD. If there’s one thing Jonny likes
more than completing the Prescription back catalogue in triplicate, it’s
collecting esoteric degree certificates (which he then sells to Jeffrey
Archer).
Jonny plays all sorts of housey, technoey, ravey stuff, but the unifying
theme behind his musical aesthetic is, as he puts it, “bears LOVE fisting to
it”.

Resident Djs are Tony Little (the man with the p*nis like a baby’s arm) and
Charlie Blue (the man with the arm like a baby’s
P*nis)

The first saturday of March it's Sendex (Bunker) and Max Duley (Lost)
