i've got something to recommend which fits both topics. a good friend of mine runs a netlabel called othello and they've been releasing lots of intergalactic tunes since 2002. some fit the melodic electro scheme, others are rather drexcyianly weird as well as there's quite a number of italo disco influenced pieces.
