My wife and I will be visiting the Lowlands in June, and I'm interested in finding someplace near to Amsterdam to stay, outside of the city. My idea being there might be somewhat less expensive, with decent hotels or pensions, where we can still get a train, tram, or bus into the City. Someplace picturesque with attractions of it's own would be great.
