If you haven't been to a festival yet, be warned: I've been to shows all over the US and Europe, and NO ONE uses as much sound as they do in Detroit. So bring your earplugs.
I've already damaged my hearing a bit. I don't hear the TV flyback transformer whining anymore, and I have constant low-level tinnitus. So now I always wear earplugs at shows. If you're young, and a quiet room is still silent, believe me, tinnitus sucks. If you forget, and you see me, I'll have a big bag of cheapies and I'll give you a pair. You'll be able to pick up your 313@hyperreal.org t shirt at the same time!
