Yep, the prime difference it seems, it there is (or should be for the
term to be apt for whichever project is being pushed) a degree of
automation.

For instance: I subbed-up to 'On The Go Spanish' about 3 months ago.
Haven't been back to the site since, but as if by magic, a new lesson
appears on my iPod every week. That's a podcast.

Well, they're wrong too. Apple, Yahoo, and all 5 billion podcast  
directories may offer download links for individual episodes but they  
all must have available subscriptions just to get added.
