I was in NYC this last week and stumbled into Sub-Tonic just as Derek
Plaslaiko was starting. I was initially going to just stay for a bit
to say hi and represent, but ended up closing the place down because I
was having so much fun. Loads of funky, clicky, melodic tracks, with
dynamics and texture.

Sub-tonic is hilarious. One of the prime venues for electronic music
in the city at the center of the planet's arts, and it's a dirty
little basement that would be crowded with 100 people there. But the
drinks are (relatively) cheap and the sound system is good. It's like
an afterhours party in someone's basement. Well, yeah that's exactly
what it is... except in NYC, afterhours means the sun is coming up.
