Looking forward to this. Passarani's one of the few techno DJs left who knows
how to inject "fun" onto the dancefloor.

SUBSTANCE - Exclusive debut LIVE performance

Instrumental in the development of the sound of the legendary Basic Channel
off-shoot, Chain Reaction, Pete Kuschnereit's recordings as Substance have in
turn helped shape Berlin's rich heritage in modern electronic music; a heritage
which more than 10 years on is resonating throughout today's musical landscape
stronger than ever before.

Despite being an in-demand DJ and remixer, continuing to man the counter at
Berlin's Hardwax record store and promoters and party goers worldwide still
clambering for a taste of the live Scion experience, Pete along with Scion
partner Vainquer (a.k.a. Rene Lowe) recently found time to resurrect their
production partnership. Launching a new label, Scion Versions, both new and
archive material from the Chain Reaction vaults are planned and things have
kicked off in typically fine style thanks to the first two releases,
'Surface/Immersion' and the current 'Reverberation/Reverberate'. During the
course of 2006 Substance also dropped what we believe to be some of the finest
remixes of recent years in the form of his 2 contrasting reworks of Monolake's
'Alaska'.

In his various guises, Pete is no stranger to OC parties and, having previously
both DJ'ed and performed the 'Arrange And Process Basic Channel' project as
part of Scion, by now he knows what makes you all tick and knowing Pete he'll
take pleasure in incorporating this knowledge into his battleplan.

MARCO PASSARANI

With a career spanning 2 decades, producer, remixer, DJ, label & distribution
company boss (Nature & Pigna and Final Frontier respectively), Marco Passarani
is truly worthy of his worldwide reputation for being THE pivotal presence
within the Italian techno/electronica scene. His studio legacy, which covers
the breadth of the techno and electronica spectrum, boasts a list of
productions that is stronger and longer than some of that bog-roll that gets
caught up 'round one of those insufferably cute puppies! Marco's work has
graced a stellar array of labels including Rephlex, Skam, Clone, Generator,
Hymen and an album deal with stalwart UK imprint, Peacefrog which has so far
brought us the rather fantastic 'Sullen Look' LP and the promise of more
material to come. In the meantime, with his ongoing Analogue Finger Prints
project and as part of Pigna People, Marco has be turning out 1st class
dancefloor material fusing the influence of Detroit techno, electro-funk and
the time-honoured sound of Italian disco to extremely potent effect - Most
recently delivering an ass-shakingly good Pigna People remix for Bounce's 12"
on Glasgow imprint, Wireblock/PointOne.

Marco was recently overheard light-heartedly describing his Djing as the
pursuit of sweat... But in all seriousness, add to that aching feet and a
contented grin and previous experience tells us that's exactly what those
congregated will be left with come dawn... Man gonna make you dance!

JAMIE STEERE

An excellent DJ in his own right, long term friend of the OC-fold, Jamie will
no doubt be dropping an immaculate selection of sounds inspired by Chicago,
Berlin & Detroit along with anything else he decides to treat us to. Having
first collaborated with Jamie some 7 years ago, OC thoroughly look forward to
his long overdue return and advise ya'll to arrive early so ya don't miss
out...

Lastly AND, in this case, 'leastly', The Outlet DJ Crew will kick things of
with the usual spiked cocktail of techno, house, disco and whatever else they
can get away with spinning...

Wouldn't be the same without ya's!
