Eevonext presents: Grandcru
Grandcru is the collaboration between Eevolute artists The Moderator
and East Island. This collaboration is a natural result of the
friendship and mutual love for music between these artists. They both
hang out together on Friday’s after work, and sat down with some
beers and created music. All this just to create a chilled out
atmosphere for them after a week’s hard work. The results of this was
a collection of laidback music, somewhat different then their usual
blend of electro and techno music. These tracks are a unique mix
between deephouse, soul with a subtle touch of techno. While creating
the tracks they realized that they stilled loved those old house
tracks from way back.
Grandcru presents: Friday night, standard night
This is the first EP from the Grandcru project. It is a collection of
tracks that the guys worked over a period of 2 years, it took some
time to grow on them. The result is this EP: Friday night, Standard
night. Friday night is a surrealistic house track with cheesy beats
and some subtle techno sounds. The EP then goes on to Out of
Isolation, now this tracks is a strange mix between house and a cheap
eighties rock ballad. This sounds strange but works really well.
Part 2 of the EP starts with the 2nd part of the title, Standard
night. Standard night is a dirty house track reminding of the tracks
coming from artists like Moodymann and Theo Parrish. Closing this
record is the first track Grandcru created. Unlike you is a lush
piano driven track with a funky beat on top of it. The atmosphere of
this track will be hard to forget.
NEXT04 will be released on 2-7-2007 and available in our online
