for what its worth, i have an interview with derrick may from '89 / '90 in
which he says pretty much the same thing as eno. he says that he bought a
computer do do music on but sold it cos he didn't like the way it allowed
you to break down the music into very fine detail and that he didn't like
some of the 'concepts' (can't remember the exact quote) that went with the
sequencing software. so there you go. who knows what eno is actually
listening to but there is a point to be taken here for sure.
