Isn't that a contradiction? I quite like some of this stuff myself, but
I wouldn't really say its pushing the boundaries.

That's why I said those artists pushing the boundaries "within those
subgenres".  It's debatable whether the subgenres themselves are pushing
new boundaries (re. whether taking retro sounds and fusing them new ones
is pushing boundaries).  But I think that discussion had enough play in
the "DE9: Closer to the Edit" thread.
