Yeah I think the re-issue is a good thing, people need to know and hear this influence. The oft-overlook missing link here is legendary German producer Conny Plank, who has produced other greats like early Kraftwerk, and even D.A.F., Ultravox, (and I think even has some Devo). Anyway there's no doubt the Liasons music had a big influence on the 80's Detroit homemede clique/club prep scene (a la Charivari, Direct Drive, Giavanti, Luomo Detroit, etc.) when it was all about european names & clothing styles, import records and stiff kraftwerkian jerky nu-wave funk.
