This record collector(v rare motown/soul) I know swears by using boiling
water. I've seen him pour boiling water on 1000GBP records before, which
increased in value once unwarped. It seems to work but I wouldn't trust
myself.
He puts the record on his kitchen side, boils some water and pours a
little over. He then leaves it cool.
If you think about trying this I'd test it a few times first on records
you're not too bothered about.
