John is listed as being from Windsor. He's also, not to put too fine a point on it, white. Mike Aquaviva's story of being an addict in Detroit would suggest he is African American -- not because black==junkie, but because inner-city Detroit is almost entirely black. So any connection between John and Mike would be pretty tenuous.
