Ronnie, The users will grumble about how much faster everything suddenly is. But aside from that I, a hard core Mac user since day 1 of using 4D, have always put the production server on a windows machine. The issues with the path names are fairly easy to deal with when you're aware of them. Aside from that I suggest avoiding attempting to 'print' anything on the server (others differ on this point). Within 4D itself the server is pretty much a 'black box' and the underlying hardware doesn't matter.
