simple one:
locate the structure file in the OS
on Mac "get Info' tick the 'locked' check box
on Windows, right-click -> Properties set the Read Only bit

alternatively -
copy and open the copy

Internally - I do not know of any way -- that does not mean there is not one  :)

maybe export the structure, on start up ask to load it?
