Hi Daniel,

No I didn't run update-grub yet, maybe I should try.
The kernel seems to be fully installed when I've checked.

I have also replaced /etc/kernel-img.conf with my original
from the backup but I'm not sure if I should have?

It might be a good idea to create a hybrid of the two
config files with update-grub included.
