thank you. There's still a problem with the permissions for links. For /
this seems to be no trouble, but for /home it is a serious problem.

No, I'm not sure.

I didn't take a look at all files, but e.g. the link awk and the file
gawk are copied, including the right times, permissions, owners and
groups, the link csh and the file tcsh are also copied. But ...

Everything is fine for the file .DCOPserver_linux-y532__0, but the owner
and group for the link .DCOPserver_linux-y532_:0 are set to "root -
root" instead of "spinymouse - users".

Because of -a and rsync running as root, owner and group should be
preserved?!
