I believe that the 2.6.24 kernel has this driver by default. Of course
you can grab the driver and build it for for the kernel that 64Studio
ships with, but by default the driver for the L2 is not in 2.6.21.

IMO, a netbook is better served by a different distro with a newer
kernel. I have an Asus eeePC 701 and an Aspire One. I put Xubuntu on
both of these (I am still currently using 8.04, but 8.10 is the best bet
for a new install on these devices). There are significant hardware
limitations to this platform as the CPU in particular is far less
powerful than the 1.6Ghz clock speed would lead you to believe. The
ATOM 1.6Ghz is more like a hyper threaded 700Mhz PIII. There are a
number of excellent reviews of this CPU on the net (Anandtech, ARS
Technica to name a few) so I will not rehash that here. Consequently, I
would not bother with an RT kernel or doing much in the way of effects
or soft synths.

They make for handy field recording devices, but their utility as a DAW
is limited. Of course if you really do understand their limitations you
can do amazing things with them, you just need to manage your
expectations and adjust your work flow to accommodate the hardware.
