Technically the IFS driver for Windows works with EXT2 and EXT3.
Periodically I have noticed that EXT3 does not detect reliably.  For
flash devices, ext2 is a better choice anyway.  Out of the box Windows
is not able to make use of EXT2/3 drives, you have to download and
install the driver.

Sometimes there are no answers.  He may be out of luck.  Though again,
with the cost of drivers what they are, what is wrong with copying the
data to a new drive?
