Greetings,

I'd like to install 64 Studio 2.1 (i386) on my notebook to replace Ubuntu 8.10. Alas, the installation fails with an error message that says it can't find a valid CD drive. The notebook includes a Lightscribe drive that Ubuntu identifies as /dev/sda, so I assume it's a SCSI (or emulated SCSI) drive. So, what can I do to force the installer to see the disc drive ?

Btw, if I can install 2.1 on the machine I plan to test the upgrade to 3.0. At this time I need the Lightscribe apps, so I'm stuck with an i386 installation for the moment.

Best,

dp
