Hi, did anybody succeed in getting ffado to run on 64Studio? I upgraded to 3.0beta hoping that ffado would be included, but as this seems not to be the case I installed it from source. Testing brought the following results:
> hurric...@hrstudio6:~$ ffado-test ListDevices > ----------------------------------------------- > FFADO test and diagnostic utility > Part of the FFADO project -- www.ffado.org > Version: 1.999.40- > (C) 2008, Daniel Wagner, Pieter Palmers > This program comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY. > ----------------------------------------------- > > === 1394 PORT 0 === > Node id GUID VendorId ModelId Vendor - Model > 0 0x00130e010004160c 0x0000130E 0x00000000 Focusrite - > SaffireLE > 1 0x0050625600036ac9 0x00005062 0x00000000 Linux - > ohci1394 - > no message buffer overruns So the device (Saffire LE) seems to be detected. But: > hurric...@hrstudio6:~$ ffado-test Discover > ----------------------------------------------- > FFADO test and diagnostic utility > Part of the FFADO project -- www.ffado.org > Version: 1.999.40- > (C) 2008, Daniel Wagner, Pieter Palmers > This program comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY. > ----------------------------------------------- > > 03885922003: Debug (devicemanager.cpp)[ 332] discover: Starting > discovery... > 03886025554: Debug (Configuration.cpp)[ 162] showSetting: Group: > (null) > 03886025609: Debug (Configuration.cpp)[ 184] showSetting: > vendorid = 140733193392910 (0x7FC70000130E) > 03886025623: Debug (Configuration.cpp)[ 184] showSetting: > modelid = 140733193388032 (0x7FC700000000) > 03886025644: Debug (Configuration.cpp)[ 208] showSetting: > vendorname = Focusrite > 03886025650: Debug (Configuration.cpp)[ 208] showSetting: > modelname = Saffire (LE) > 03886025653: Debug (Configuration.cpp)[ 184] showSetting: driver > = 140733193388033 (0x7FC700000001) > 03886025657: Debug (Configuration.cpp)[ 208] showSetting: mixer > = SaffireMixer > 03886026054: Debug (devicemanager.cpp)[ 594] discover: driver found > for device 0 > 03886055009: Error (ieee1394service.cpp)[ 702] doFcpTransaction: FCP > transaction didn't succeed in 20 tries > 03886055031: Warning (ieee1394service.cpp)[ 677] transactionBlock: > FCP transaction failed > 03886055042: Error (bebob_avdevice.cpp)[ 597] > getConfigurationIdNumberOfChannel: Number of channels command failed > 03886075553: Error (ieee1394service.cpp)[ 702] doFcpTransaction: FCP > transaction didn't succeed in 20 tries > 03886075568: Warning (ieee1394service.cpp)[ 677] transactionBlock: > FCP transaction failed > 03886075574: Error (bebob_avdevice.cpp)[ 597] > getConfigurationIdNumberOfChannel: Number of channels command failed > 03886096035: Error (ieee1394service.cpp)[ 702] doFcpTransaction: FCP > transaction didn't succeed in 20 tries > 03886096066: Warning (ieee1394service.cpp)[ 677] transactionBlock: > FCP transaction failed > 03886096071: Error (bebob_avdevice.cpp)[ 629] > getConfigurationIdSyncMode: Signal source command failed > 03886096099: Debug (bebob_avdevice.cpp)[ 734] loadFromCache: > filename /home/hurricane/.ffado/cache/00130e010004160c/ > 0000000000000003.xml > 03886096140: Debug (bebob_avdevice.cpp)[ 738] loadFromCache: "/home/ > hurricane/.ffado/cache/00130e010004160c/0000000000000003.xml" does > not exist > 03886096239: Debug (Configuration.cpp)[ 162] showSetting: Group: > (null) > 03886096260: Debug (Configuration.cpp)[ 184] showSetting: > vendorid = 140733193392910 (0x7FC70000130E) > 03886096266: Debug (Configuration.cpp)[ 184] showSetting: > modelid = 140733193388032 (0x7FC700000000) > 03886096272: Debug (Configuration.cpp)[ 208] showSetting: > vendorname = Focusrite > 03886096286: Debug (Configuration.cpp)[ 208] showSetting: > modelname = Saffire (LE) > 03886096290: Debug (Configuration.cpp)[ 184] showSetting: driver > = 140733193388033 (0x7FC700000001) > 03886096294: Debug (Configuration.cpp)[ 208] showSetting: mixer > = SaffireMixer > 03886116853: Error (ieee1394service.cpp)[ 702] doFcpTransaction: FCP > transaction didn't succeed in 20 tries > 03886116880: Warning (ieee1394service.cpp)[ 677] transactionBlock: > FCP transaction failed > 03886116888: Error (avc_unit.cpp)[ 250] enumerateSubUnits: Subunit > info command failed > 03886116896: Error (avc_unit.cpp)[ 177] discover: Could not > enumarate sub units > 03886116901: Error (bebob_avdevice.cpp)[ 192] discover: Could not > discover unit > 03886116914: Error (devicemanager.cpp)[ 606] discover: could not > discover device > 03886117099: Debug (devicemanager.cpp)[ 639] discover: Discovery > finished... > 03886117119: Debug (devicemanager.cpp)[1087] showDeviceInfo: ===== > Device Manager ===== > 03886117128: Debug (Element.cpp)[ 121] show: Element DeviceManager > 03886117147: Debug (devicemanager.cpp)[1095] showDeviceInfo: --- > IEEE1394 Service 0 --- > Iso handler info: > Dumping IsoHandlerManager Stream handler information... > State: 2 > no message buffer overruns So obviously the ffado driver can't talk to the device. Any ideas how to fix this? best regards, µ. -- ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Hurricane Rock Ltd.
