If I remember the situation correctly, your friend is running Ubuntu
Jaunty (9.04) but has installed the kernel from 64Studio?  If this is
the case then he should probably just install the Ubuntu Studio RT
kernel and remove all references to 64Studio.

The other option is to do a clean install of 64Studio.

The 64Studio back ports repository only has some packages from Jaunty,
you will also not find kernel sources or headers there, only the
packages that have been back ported.

Of course mixing the the two sources may be possible, but it is not
worth the trouble IMO.  Of course he can do whatever he likes.
