I've got issues too. RME support is willing to help, but no ALSA
developer does respond when I wrote to several lists. My RME AIO is
completely useless for serious audio work on Linux.

Yesno. AV Linux and Debian aren't good distros at the moment. You better
go with Ubuntu and then add the Ubuntu Studio meta packages. Avoid to
install Ubuntu Studio from the Ubuntu Studio media.
