if you pick a random protocol type that's not tcp or udp and the chances your little packets will make it across the intertubes will be lowered quite a bit. this isn't the ip designer's fault. although for giggles i just set this up: minooka; aux/listen1 -tv /net.alt/il!*!4000 /386/bin/cat listen started incoming call for /net.alt/il!*!4000 from 74.166.29.253 in /net.alt/il/1 and surprise, surprise, i can call out through a bridge and a telco router and touch it ; telnet il!minooka.coraid.com!4000 connected to il!minooka.coraid.com!4000 on /net/il/3 hello, world hello, world<cr> i'll leave that up for a while. have fun. i'll be interested what the success rate will be. - erik
