you've made me realize i've been using plumber-like stuff before. back on KDE 3.5, there was that `dcop' thingie that i've employed for plumbing actions and selected text. it worked, it made my day every day back then. dcop had both ease of use and natural introspection. pity dcop is dead now, and dbus can't even deliver the eulogy :-( disclaimer: i'm not a plan 9 person for any viable value of `p9 person' -- dexen deVries > (...)
