One thing that I enjoy most about computers is learning about them and how to fix problems when they occur. I have gone crazy before trying to figure out what seems should be the simplest things but things that some techs will never tell you. Like changing hardware for example. I just installed an Audigy 2 ZS soundcard and if I didn't know a little trick, that once cost me $50 bucks to learn, it could have driven me nuts one more time. When installing new hardware in a PCI slot always put the hardware in a different slot than the one you have just removed the old hardware from. Otherwise the chances are that Windows will not recognize the new hardware and you won't be able to install it properly. Now in a matter of minutes, instead of hours and pulling my hair out, I have a new sound card that works and sounds great like it is supposed to. Also now I have a like new Audigy 2 sound card available for someone else that wants to upgrade but doesn't want to, or can't afford to, buy new. Computers can really be a lot of fun. I also often go to the my search engine and type in the question of what I am trying to do. We can all learn from each other's experience.
