First of all DON'T go from 98 to ME. ME is without question inferior to 98 in terms of stability. It's generally recognized as the clunkiest thing to come out of Redmond. OK, I know, it works for some people but statistically it's FAAAAR worse than 98SE.
Your first sentence doesn't make sense; do you mean that the modem has given up the ghost? What makes you think so? Also, what do you mean that 98 won't support it? If it's broken, why should 98 support it, or do you mean that the two don't talk to each other? I know of no case where 98 does not work with any standard modem! Why don't you come back with some details of why you say what you say and when the problem happened. Did this modem (what make and model is it) work for you at one time or did you just install it? Do you get error messages, and if so, what do they say, exactly? Kerogh At 02:06 04/12/05 +0000, you wrote: >My modem just went and '98 will not support it drive wise.
