My Toshiba Tecra has developed a problem with its monitor being
intermittent when the lid is moved open and closed. I suspect there is
a ribbon cable that runs from the base up into the lid for that and it
has a broken wire that is causing the loss of color and backlight. My
question is, is this something an old geek can replace or should i
consider having it done. What cost should I prepare for if having it
done? Aside from this issue, the unit operates as it should and does
it well.
Thanks for all the good info found here for old mainframe tech weenies.
