I recently accidentally knocked my Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk external hard drive (1 T) off the table onto my carpet-rug. The fall was about 28 inches, and the drive was turned off and unplugged at the time. I then hooked it up to my computer and tried to put data into and extract data from my external hard drive. I was successful at doing both of these things which got done in a reasonablely timely fashion. I then did a diagnostic with Hardware Diagnostic Tools (Windows 7). I did both the short test and the long test of this external hard drive, and both tests were successful as well. I was wondering if ,even after confirming all of these things, my external hard drive might still be in trouble.
