Thank you Donk. In MS WORD (2010), I clicked on: FILE è WORD OPTIONS è DEFAULT FILE LOCATION: [D:\1MS-WORD.doc] (It showed my default folder). There must have been some glitch in it – After I closed the program and reopened it...It worked fine. Jim

I don't have a copy of Word 2010 here, but see if this microsoft article answers your question: http://bit.ly/SlwKiB I know that earlier versions of Word would "learn" where you save your files after you save them there 3 or 4 times. But all versions have a method to specify the default "save to" folder. It's likely somewhere in the many "preferences" settings in Word. If the above doesn't do it, repost.
