Dear all, With the results published by Karsten Nohl et.al. at the 26C3 the whole GSM decoder / decryptor topic has gotten a new jolt of energy. We currently have the situation, that debates that have been had (with results) on airprobe-main are more or less repeated on [email protected], while the [email protected] list is more or less unused. So to avoid unnecessary splitting of attention, I suggest to clean up the structure by merging the airprobe-a5 list and the a51 list, while maintaining airprobe-main for the receiver-related discussions (and shift those from a51 there). The past has shown that the overlap between people with knowledge in the software radio domain and those with crypto-talent is rather small and each community gets quickly annoyed with the others debate. People who are interested in both can easily subscribe to both.
