This means, the "my_kernel*"s are not directly output from the brooks
compiler, but modified manually? This explains why I couldn't reproduce
the same code :)

Okay then the Brooks+ code can be used as fall-back code if the card
doesn't support compute shader code? With reduced features of course.

ATI Stream KernelAnalyzer prints CAL statistics for OpenCL, IL and
Brooks+ code for every card it supports. MThreads/sec denotes the
throughput achieved with that code together with statistics about the
bottlenecks etc.
