With a single NCQ capable disk one can expect 150 seeks per second and you need
a GPU that can create that many chains per second.
To be precise you need a GPU that can compute around 66% of that 150 chains
per second because only roughly 1/4 of the endpoints you lookup will be a hit
for which you have to continue the computation at the start of the chain.
The slowest radeon i got my hand on is a HD4350 and it can already produce
1000 chains per second with 16 * 5 32bit ALUs @ 650 mhz. So it is gonna be hard
to
buy a GPU that will be to slow for the job. Even desktop mainboards with
a AMD890 chipset have 8 * 5 ALUs @ 500mhz.
Be prepared that in order to search 1 burst in all 40 tables with that kind
of hardware, you will need 40 * 8 * 51 / 150 = 100 seconds and for a 50%
success rate
you will need ca. 4 bursts.
