Just a correction to my prior message. It is the Open in a new Window choice.
The quick way to do it, is to go to the link, press APP key, and hit N. The
link will open in a new window. Sorry for whatever confusion caused.

I don't know in this particular case. But in many cases, when a link won't
work, and if you are running IE, I have a work around, that might prove helpful
to some users.

Use your arrow keys, or the tab key, to place your cursor on the link. Then
press the APP key, and the context menu will open. Usually, the very first
choice on this menu is OPEN. Scroll there, and hit Enter. This will force the
link to open.

Another thing that you find on the context menu, and which has proven helpful
in many cases, is the OPEN IN A NEW TAB choice. Let me give you but a couple of
examples, to show where it can be helpful. Hopefully this will give you all
ideas, as to situations where you usually have been left with a lot of page
scrolling.

If you go to places like EBay, search for a product, and get a list of fifty
listings. You can scroll down to one, and press enter. Oh, yes, you will be
taken to that listing. Now, what if this proved not to be what you were looking
for; so you want to go back to the list, and look at the next item for sale.
Simply pressing the PAGE-BACKWARD button (alt-Left, or backspace) has proven
useless. You are taken back to the list, but placed at top of the page, and can
start your browsing all over. If, on the other hand, you scroll down to the
item you want to look at, then hit the APP key, scroll down to 'open in a new
tab', and hit Enter. Here, IE will leave the window you are in - holding the
list of items for sale - and open a brand new window, holding the actual
product description etc. When finished reading the AD, all you do is hit
CTRL-F4, and the window will be closed, you taken right back to your original
window - that is the list of items - and placed right where you left. Now
simply use your arrow keys, and continue to read. Please note, only use
CTRL-F4, to close the 'new' window. Using ALT-F4, will close IE totally, and
you are to start all over again.

The same procedure I have found, is quite useful, when looking up something
on the net. Let's say you want to read about Air conditions. You open your
search engine - like Google or Yahoo. Enter your search term, and press ENTER.
When you browse the list of results, and you hit one that you think would be
intersting, use the App key and 'open in a new tab' combination. When finished
reading the article, close the window with CTRL-F4, and you are right back in
the list of search results.

Again, this was but two examples where this has been helpful for me. Hope it
helps others. Unfortunately, more and more pages seem to be constructed the
way, that when you come back to the page with Alt-Left, you are taken to the
top of the page. Refinding your position on the page can be rather time
consuming, and for me resulted in less hair on my head. :) After discovering
the procedure described above, it has been a breeze to browse through search
results, and look up the ones that might givbe me the answer I am after.

Please let me know, if anything in my description was unclear.

I know, some have suggested putting a placemarker on the original page,
before pressing the link. Good idea, only that you have to do so, for each link
you look up. If you are searching for a new guitar on Ebay, you might have to
put a placemarker on 75 different links, before you finally hit the offer you
wish to go for. With the above procedure, you don't have to go through all that
placemarker stuff.

  Enjoy!

The example that John sent to me privately is exactly like what Don sent:
content is being updated dynamically. Control-Shift-A twice, problem diverted
(for now).

      Hi,

I get that too. A lot of the time, if I press ins-plus and hit the left
mouse button, it resolves the issue.

I get a lot of links that won't operate when I press enter. Switching
browse mode on and off doesn't change anything.
