This is such a wide spread problem I am surprised to hear a question about a
specific link on a specific page. If this were a rare occurrence,
suspecting a bad link might be plausible. Hitting enter on links with no
response happens to me more frequently than I would like and ever so
randomly .

Sometimes just manually refreshing the page after hitting Enter on the link
will keep things moving forward. Sometimes after hitting enter on a link
with no response, I will turn browse mode off and back on and sometimes that
will trigger the event. When that fails, sometimes right clicking on the
link and choosing Open In New Window will do the trick. Sometimes though
the new window will still be on that page in which case sometimes right
clicking on the link and choosing Open will do it. When that fails, right
clicking and choosing Open in new tab will sometimes work. The only thing
that shows a minimal amount of consistency is to right click on the link,
copy the target and paste it into the address field, or fish for the link
with the mouse, either the physical one or the numpad one.

Observe the repetitive use of the word quote sometimes end quote. I would
also point out this occurs, quite randomly in Firefox and Internet Explorer,
both at their respective latest versions, along with Window eyes and a
minimal number of add ons installed. And I have experienced this anomaly
under the XP SP 3 and Windows 7 operating systems

But hey, in a perfect world there will be perfect computers, perfect
software and perfect sight which will eliminate the need for a perfect
screen reader. Till then, my money is on GW Micro and Window eyes.

For what it's worth.

Peter,

I'm not finding a link titled, "AFL Futures." The only links I find that
begin with AFL are "AFL Betting," and "AFL - The official site of the
Australian Football League." Can you provide me with the URL of the exact
page that's causing problems? When you're on that page, just do Alt-D,
Control-C.

Hi Aaron
I know you were asking for specific examples from John, however, I have
noted that on a lot of sports betting sites problems similar to the one John
emailed about take place.
I'm running WE 7,2 XP and IE 8.

If you go to
www.sportsbet.com.au
Bring up the list of links with insert and tab, hit a til you come to AFL
Futures, enter on that link, so far so good, then, hit insert with tab to
bring up the list of links and then hit p, for the link Port Adelaide's next
coach, enter on that, still going okay, when that page loads, arrow down to
see the names and the prices of the candidates, the first name you come to
is Matthew Primus, his price, $2,40 is in a link, however, when you hit
enter on that link nothing happens. Often these sites work okay until one
logs in with their account details, with this site, www.sportsbet.com.au
this issue of hitting enter on a link and WE not responding happens without
logging in, as in with this example. With this site it seems that entering
on the price of a bet doesn't get a response, with some sites any link that
you hit enter on doesn't bring a response.
Hope this may help a bit.
