Thanks, Aaron. I appreciate your rational observations and your honest response. It's what sets GW-Micro apart from virtually any developer.

Regards,
Tom

How much more time has Aaron spent on this thread than he would have
putting a one-liner post on this list?

FWIW, I did respond with a one liner, and that was that we worked fine
with SP1. If I would have stopped with that one liner, no one would have
thought any more about it.

But for reasons I now question, I also happened to mention, off the
cuff, with no real intention what-so-ever, that I tweeted as much last
week. The context behind the tweet was someone wondering if it worked. I
tweeted that it did. End of two-second story. There was no big official
Twitter announcement relating to Window-Eyes and Windows 7 SP 1. It was
literally a, "Hey, does this work?" "Yep, sure does" conversation.
That's it. Our presence on Twitter is as much to do with being a part of
a community as it does with providing information. So there's bound to
be more discussion about things there than on this list (rightly or
wrongly). Rest assured that we are not leaving our list users in the
dust for new-fangled social communication methods.

Should we have made an extra effort to post specifically, across lists,
and to all communication outlets, that SP1 would work fine? Yes. It was
no big deal to me, so I didn't make an effort. And no one here else
bothered to post anything either (presumably for the same reason). We've
since taken into account that users may not be as informed about
releases as we are, and will work to be more forthcoming with that
information in the future.

Thanks,

Aaron
