Interesting and the below just shows once again that there are many ways
of doing things.
I have TB set up so that everything opens in its own window thus if I'm
writing or reading a message I just press alt-f4 to close that window,
if I'm composing I'll be asked by TB to "Save" the message so perhaps
this may help some people.

Whilst we're talking about Thunder bird, each time I press escape to
get out of a message and return to the inbox, I am getting WE saying
W. Latest version of both WE and TB.

Yes, we're still supporting this app, and it works with TB 8. I've had
one other report of the preview pane message announcement, but I'm not
able to duplicate it here. I'll do some investigating.

Not sure if Aaron is still working on the TB Enhance app?
My question, since the latest upgrade of W-E supports TB 8, does this
mean that support for this application is hard coded, thus, that the
TB Enhance app is not needed anymore? I'm still getting the pesky
"preview pane open" and "preview pane closed" messages after the
latest update has been installed, using TB 8, so would like to know if
the scripts are still required, since I'm convinced that the bogus
messages are caused by them.
Thanks, still testing the latest upgrade in various situations and
will report back. In general I can say thumbs up for the improved
responsiveness.
