BarFly plays using Quicktime, which does have an absolute pitch
standard, calibrated in units of 1/256 of a semitone. Quicktime
is also freely available for windows so it would be possible to
do the same thing there. Sound-only Quicktime movies exported
from BarFly sound exactly the same when played on a PC as BarFly
does on a Mac, so there is a certain capacity for export there.
