Something that has cropped up during the testing of Abacus is the use of the .abc extension. A friend, not unreasonably, double clicked on an abc file expecting it to start my programme. What they actually got was ABC Flowcharter; a programme for drawing flowcharts produced by Micrografx Inc. of Dallas, Texas. This is disgraceful; flowcharts were already considered old fashioned when I started out in IT twenty five years ago. Can Steve Allen sue?
