Jokes are one thing - war-mongering propaganda is another. How about an
alternative view?

To the tune of "If you're happy and you know it"

If you cannot find Osama, bomb Iraq.
If the markets are a drama, bomb Iraq.
 If the terrorists are frisky,
 Pakistan is looking shifty,
 North Korea is too risky,
 Bomb Iraq.

If we have no allies with us, bomb Iraq.
If we think someone has dissed us, bomb Iraq.
So to hell with the inspections,
Let's look tough for the elections,
Close your mind and take directions,
 Bomb Iraq.

 It's "pre-emptive non-aggression", bomb Iraq.
Let's prevent this mass destruction, bomb Iraq.
They've got weapons we can't see,
And that's good enough for me
'Cos it's all the proof I need
 Bomb Iraq.

If you never were elected, bomb Iraq.
If your mood is quite dejected, bomb Iraq.
If you think Saddam's gone mad,
With the weapons that he had,
(And he tried to kill your dad),
 Bomb Iraq.

If your corporate fraud is growin', bomb Iraq.
If your ties to it are showin', bomb Iraq.
 If your politics are sleazy,
 And hiding that ain't easy,
 And your manhood's getting queasy,
 Bomb Iraq.

Fall in line and follow orders, bomb Iraq.
For our might knows not our borders, bomb Iraq.
 Disagree? We'll call it treason,
Let's make war not love this season,
Even if we have no reason,
 Bomb Iraq.

 (Dog day afternoon....)

I don't particularly want to see this topic go any further (apologies for
intruding on music issues) and initially I was for ignoring Zouki's
invitation to slaughter. But the subject is much too serious for gung-ho
attitudes towards the killing of possibly hundreds of thousands of people so
I felt I had to show that the present US administration hasn't the only
opinion in town.

>From the VRWC "God Bless America" Song Book

To the tune of (what else?) "Danny Boy"
Words by B. Black (with no help whatever from Pete Seeger or Barbra
Streisand)
Dedicated to Nelson "Ain't Afraid to Make a Fool of Myself" Mandela

(1)
Saddam Hussein
Your day, your day is coming
Have chuckles now
For soon you'll be no more

You and your clones
Are not long for this planet
No place to hide
When you hear the Tomcats roar

You've screwed around
Since last time that we kicked your a**
You still insist
That you've done nothing wrong

Your anthrax stores
Were just for "peaceful purposes"
Or so you've often said
As you've strung us fools along

(2)
The UN team
Has visited your palaces
And what was there
Now is hidden far away

You think you're smart
But you can't hide from our satellites
Our drones keep watching
While you eat or sleep or play

Soon ugly sons
Will lose their torture chambers
Your verminous clan
Will deny they have your name
Once you depart
Bound for your hero's paradise
To ravish virgins
And forget you died in shame

(3)
The lefty crowd
Already has adopted you
Their poster boy
For whatever's foul and wrong

They burn our flag
To show how much you mean to them
They chant about "Big Oil"
And CNN loves the song

But change will come
And bring a blessd end to you
Your pictures vile
Your hands with bloody stains
Your vaunted Guards
Will melt away like desert sand
As the people rise in freedom
>From your hated chains

(4)
Then listen well -
You'll hear the sound of trouble
>From every side
Come missiles, men, and tanks

And once it starts
It goes until we finish
So you don't have too much time
To say "goodbye and thanks"

Your little game
Is set for a conclusion
We'll find the arms
You never did condemn
We'll let the people
Deal justice of their own to you

(Big ending)
And treat you in the same way
That you treated them!
