But, I'm not sure whether to go for something like that, or have a hunt around for something 2nd hand. Benefits of buying new? I guess there's the warranty should anything go wrong, the peace of mind knowing that no one else has driven it, no MOT for 3 years... Basically is it worth getting new or should I look around for something used and cheaper? Insurance is stupid high though: �900 for the 1.9 TDi golf or �1k for the 172! Bleugh. :o\ As for paying for it, it would be on credit, but I've roughly calculated that over 5 years it's about �220 a month + insurance. So that total at about �320 a month. At the moment I'm paying �40/m for insurance and putting �300 in my savings account every month...
