One of the features I find lacking (or impossibly difficult to deal with) in MS Word is the lack of a convenient and flexible cross-referencing system ala LaTeX. To do this right requires a small departure from WYSIWYG, but can really make the difference when dealing with large structured documents <insert all LaTeX propaganda here/> What I would like to see is a way to deal with referencing logical section numbers/titles, figure numbers, table numbers, etc. as well as the ability to add custom counters for things we don't know about yet (Maybe someone wants to keep a separate list of code fragments or something). The important things is that it should very VERY easy to get to, if it can be done with Word without obscenely fancy footwork, I have never been able to figure it out. My suspicion is that this needs to be a fairly deep design issue, is it too late, or not of interest to anyone else? -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Craig P Earls, LT U.S. Navy [EMAIL PROTECTED] MIT Course XIII-A Missile Subspecialty -------------------------------------------------------------------------
