It's true that AbiWord was *designed* to work with non-Latin-1 fonts, but
some of the implementation work to get there is not done.  In other words,
we don't have to do any testing in this area, since we know it won't work
correctly.

However, I'm quite surprised that it crashes for you.  I'd be more inclined
to think that it would half-work.
