Can't start AbiWord 0.7.10

Hi out there!

I'm running FreeBSD 4.0-Release.
Compilation of 0.7.10 (tar.gz) seemed to work fine, but when I tried to 
start AbiWord, it said:

Segmentation  fault - core dumped

Then I tried the FreeBSD package, but
# pkg_add

asked me whether this really was a package.


Thanks a lot for your help. I would like very much to run a new version 
of AbiWord.
