Language of Normal Style

I'm trying to help someone get Abi working in a UK environment. The
en_GB menu strings are showing up, but all his files revert to US
English. Mine don't. The only difference I can think of is that I build
my own Abi.

Do the built-in styles have their language set at compile time? If not,
any other ideas as to what could be causing this?
