I agree we should give the user what she expects. But we need to find
out *what*.
How about this: can't we look at a bunch of other SDI/MSDI text-editor
programs on MacOS, Windows and Linux and then find the commond
denominator?
Consistency, particularly with other apps of the same category, is
*always* good. If we want consistency, we need to find out the other's
behaviours.
