Hello,
I've just found this open source free word processing. I'm happy to use a non-microsoft software, and appreciate its ease of use. I work in a french college (children from 11 to 15), and I don't agree the National public Education spends a lot or money in Microsoft software. So I'll try to use it with the pupills. At home I have the 0.7.14 AbiWord on a PC 32 bits files system with Windows ME. I'm not yet enough experienced to dare to install Linux on my computer, but I'll do it one day. Open source is nearer of my philosophy of computing. After to say hello, I wanted to ask some
questions.
- Is there some french speaking persons on
this mailing list ?
- I can't make table with AbiWord. Is it
planed for next version ? Is there another easy way to make table (without
MS Word !) ?
- The fonction File / Page setup doesn't work. The dialog box open normaly, but after it stop AbiWord. I can only do CTRL+ALT+SUPPR. Is somebody have yet met this problem ? Is somebody have a solution ? |
