After reading the information on the web site it appeared all needed to do was link the contents of my true type directory (drakfont) to the abiword font directory. So I renamed the abiword fonts directory, created a new one and linked it to the drakfont diredtory.
Since I already have MS true type fonts installed including Times New Roman I thought that was all I needed to do. Wrong! If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
