There is an SRPM (source RPM) package available that will allow you to build and install AbiWord on your system. <ftp://ftp.rpmfind.net/linux/sourceforge/abiword/abiword-0.9.6.1-1.src.rpm>
Alternatively, you can retrieve the source tarball and build manually. Your choice. Still, it should help resolve your problem. G'Day from Downunder.
